THANK GOD IT’S FRIDAY
I woke us about 3:30 am Wednesday morning and as I laid there in bed I thought to myself that the celebration of Easter is coming. Then the words Good Friday entered my mind. So I got up and looked up on my phone “What’s so good about Good Friday?” There were several articles talking about Good Friday, but only one really stuck out to me.
As I am writing this I’m still thinking, “What’s so good about Good Friday?” Everything! As dark as that day was, knowing that we crucified an innocent man Jesus the Messiah in the place of a criminal named Barabbas, Good Friday was the brightest day on earth for all of mankind. Jesus’ death opened the gates to paradise once again to those who would believe on the name of Jesus the Son of God. By one man’s sin, Adam, sin entered into the world and by one man’s act of righteousness sin is forgiven.
17 Since by the one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive the overflow of grace and the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
18 So then, as through one trespass there is condemnation for everyone, so also through one righteous act there is life-giving justification for everyone. 19 For just as through one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous.
